Is this really free?

How is this different from Zillow or Redfin estimates?

Those are algorithms trained on a national dataset. They don't know your kitchen is three years new, your neighbor's house sold pre-remodel, or that your zip has 11 active listings this week. A real Equity Update does.

Do you need to walk through the home?

Not for the initial valuation — photos and a condition description are enough. If you're seriously considering listing, an in-person walkthrough sharpens the number by 1–3%, typically.
